Cowgirl Golfers Finish Third at Texas A&M Invitational

A pair of Cowgirls tied for eighth place individually. Sophomores Karin Kinnerud and Pernilla Lindberg both shot a 227. Senior Mallorie Underwood recorded a 231 and tied for 19th place. Sophomore Amanda Johnson tied for 26th place with a 234, while freshman Sarah Bradley carded a 239 and finished 34th.
As a team, Oklahoma State shot a 301 during Sunday's final round the Cowgirls' best round of the tournament. Kinnerud recorded an even-par 72, tying Lindberg's first round for the best by a Cowgirl.
No. 13-ranked Denver finished fifth, five strokes behind OSU and UCLA. Texas A&M finished sixth, while South Carolina, Missouri and Oklahoma all tied for seventh place.
Oklahoma State will return to action on March 30 as the Cowgirls travel to Tempe, Ariz., to compete in the PING/ASU Invitational.
