Cowboy Track Team Splits for Weekend Action
February 07, 2007 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
The Cowboys will be running full-speed for the first time this season as they have been in training mode up until this point. Half of the team will run at the Husky Classic, hosted by the University of Washington and the other half will run at the Tyson Foods Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Despite being in training mode, OSU has seen some impressive performances from the youth of the roster early this season. Cowboy freshman Sean Fleming has made a name for himself, recording three top-10 finishes in as many meets for the Pokes.
Redshirt freshman Marshall Summa has also run well. Summa set a new personal record in the 800-meter run at the Arkansas Invitational and then bettered that time the next week at the Razorback Invitational.
The Tyson Foods Invitational will begin on Friday and continue through Saturday, while the Husky Classic won't begin until Saturday.
