Cowgirls Look To Snap Losing Streak With Home Contest Against Texas
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (15-7 overall, 3-6 Big 12) returns home after a pair of road losses against nationally ranked opponents on Wednesday night to host Texas (16-7, 5-4) at 6 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Cowgirls closed out a string of three straight contests against Top 25 foes on Sunday with a 78-63 loss at Oklahoma, while the Longhorns have won two in a row after knocking off Kansas State, 61-34, in Manhattan.
Scouting The Longhorns
The Longhorns will be riding the momentum of a two-game winning streak into Stillwater after defeating Oklahoma and Kansas State last week. Texas is 3-4 overall on the road this season and has split its four conference road games thus far. UT is paced by preseason All-Big 12 pick Tiffany Jackson, who is the squad's leading scorer (18.1 ppg) and rebounder (9.0 rpg). The Longhorns also boast the preseason conference freshman of the year in Brittainey Raven.

The Longhorns have won 20 of the 23 previous meetings with the Cowgirls ... two of OSU's three wins in the series have come in Stillwater ... OSU has lost 13 consecutive games in the series with its last win coming on Jan. 12, 2000 in Stillwater ... the Cowgirls have lost six consecutive home games in the series ... three of those games have been decided by five points or less, including last season's 61-56 Longhorn victory.
