Cowgirls Fall to Central Florida, 6-2

UCF improved to 6-4 on the year, while OSU evened its season record at 5-5.
Chelsey Barclay started on the mound for the Cowgirls and allowed six runs on eight hits to suffer the loss and fall to 0-3 on the season. Allison Kime received the win for UCF and improved to 4-2.
Courtney Totte plated the game's first run with an RBI single in the bottom of the first. Shanel Scott reached on a walk and advanced to third on a stolen base and sacrifice before scoring.
The Golden Knights rallied for three runs in the third inning. Amber Lamb and Allison Kime hit consecutive RBI singles to give UCF the lead.
The Cowgirls got a run back in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI by Totte. OSU then loaded the bases with one out, but Krystle Sanchez grounded into an inning ending double play to end the threat.
UCF got the lead back to two runs in the fourth inning on a single by Lamb, and extended it to three runs on a solo home run by Kacie Feaster in the sixth inning. UCF plated an insurance run in the seventh inning to go up 6-2.
