Cowboy Track Set to Compete at Sooner Open

STILLWATER, Okla. Â— Oklahoma State's men's track team will head to Norman, Okla., this weekend to compete in the University of Oklahoma's Sooner Open.

Last time out, OSU freshmen Daniel Watts and Sean Fleming each set personal records in the 3,000-meter run at the Washington Husky Classic. Watts finished with a time of 8:09.69 and Fleming finished with a time of 8:14.53. Sophomore Alejandro Ruiz also set a personal record in that event, finishing with a time of 8:20.54.

The meet will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Cowboys beginning at 12:40 p.m. It will be OSU's last action before the Pokes head to Ames, Iowa, for the Big 12 Championships next weekend. The conference meet will begin Friday, Feb. 23, and wrap up Saturday.
