• saw limited action in three games for the Cowgirls.
• recorded a double and an RBI vs. San Diego in the first game of a doubleheader on March 17.
• recorded 11 putouts on the season, including six against Jacksonville on March 8, with no errors.
at Samford (2005-06)
• started 35 games at catcher as a sophomore.
• picked off two runners and threw out eight runners trying to steal.
• stole four bases on the season.
• played 49 games and started 45 as a freshman.
• batted .246 in 2005 and scored 13 runs.
• hit six home runs, two of which were grand slams in consecutive days.
• played for former Cowgirl Lee Ann Ketcham at Samford.
at Chico High School (2001-04)
• lettered three years for coach Stayce York.
• was named team captain as a junior and senior.
• hit .325 as a senior with a team-high seven home runs.
• compiled a .998 fielding percentage and had nine pickoffs from behind the plate.
• caught 22 of 30 runners attempting to steal.
• selected to the all-Eastern Athletic League team as a senior.
• was named the team's best defensive player.
• earned the Athletic Scholar Athlete Award three times.
• Panthers went to three-consecutive sectional playoff appearances in California's CIF Eastern Athletic League.
• earned California's CIF Scholar-Athlete Award while maintaining a 3.5 grade point average.
• helped lead the San Jose Strikkers to a second-place finish in the Colorado Fireworks tournament and qualified for the 18-under Gold Nationals.
• was recruited by San Diego, Virginia Tech, St. Mary's, Liberty and Columbia out of high school.
Personal
Born Aug. 7, 1986, Meghan is the daughter of Jeff and Julie Wagner. She is the second of six children, with four brothers: Luke (oldest), Kyle, Seth and Zachary; and a sister, Hannah. Her father played volleyball in college at Chico State. Meghan enjoys game nights with her teammates/friends, planting flowers in her new garden, going to the beach as often as possible. She is involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at OSU. Meghan is majoring in physical education at Oklahoma State.
