• started 48 games for the Cowgirls, all as the designated player.
• spent most of her time as the No. 6 hole hitter, although saw action from the fifth spot all the way to the No. 9 hole.
• finished with a .198 batting average, connecting on 23 hits in 119 at-bats.
• had 19 runs batted in and scored 17 runs.
• was fourth on the team in doubles with seven, and was tied for third in home runs with four.
• had a stellar game at Tulsa on March 22 when she went 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs.
• hits in that game included a double and a home run and also had a walk.
at Kingwood High School (2003-06)
• lettered three years at Kingwood High School.
• was named first-team All-State twice and earned second-team honors once.
• hit three home runs her senior season before being injured.
• was the co-captain along with Cowgirl teammate Katelyn Bright.
• helped lead Kingwood High to the regional quarterfinals and four-consecutive district titles.
• played summer ball for the Texas Eclipse.
• hit 14 home runs for coach Ken Glass.

Born May 25, 1988, Emily is the daughter of Jeff and Penny Blackburn. She has a sister, Amy. Emily is majoring in psychology at Oklahoma State.
