Cowgirl Equestrian Beats Baylor to Remain Undefeated

Oklahoma State's equestrian team (6-0) defeated the Baylor Bears (3-5) for the second time this season. The Cowgirls remain undefeated this year after defeating the Bears 12-8.
This was their second show in two days. Saturday the Cowgirls defeated Stephen F. Austin 11-4.
For the Cowgirls, the English team tied with a score of 5-5. In equitation on the flat the Cowgirls slid by the Bears with a score of 3-2. Junior Sam Collingsworth led the team with a 76, which gave her the MVP for this discipline. Along with Collingsworth, seniors Bailey Mahoney and Michelle Woolschlager also captured victories for the Cowgirls. In the 2-3 loss for the Cowgirls in equitation over fences, senior Bailey Mahoney and sophomore Ally Blais both captured victories. Mahoney has won two events multiple times this season.
The Cowgirls western team won by a margin of 7-3. The team has been strong all season and today was no different. Senior LeeAnna McNally won the MVP for the horsemanship category with a high score of 78. Junior Jordan Pickleman and freshman Courtney Whitacre also captured victories for the Cowgirls. The western team has not lost this season.
The western team was capped off by a 4-1 victory in reining by the Cowgirls. Sophomore Leah Kuehn led the way with a 72.5 for the Cowgirls capturing a victory on the day. Senior Rachel Currat, junior Jacque Roberts, and sophomore Rachell Shobe also contributed victories to Oklahoma State's win today.
The Cowgirls close out the fall portion of their schedule undefeated and look to do the same next semester. OSU is in action again on January 26 when they face Miami of Ohio in Stillwater.
