Cowgirl Golf Ties For Fifth At Las Vegas Collegiate

The Cowgirls finished play with a 54-hole total of 886, 22-over, and tied with New Mexico. Denver finished as the only squad under par, turning in a 6-under 858 total en route to an 11-shot victory. After entering the day in sixth place, OSU was able to move back into the top five despite having just four players due to sophomore Sarah Bradley withdrawing prior to yesterday's second round.
Katie Kempter of Denver took top honors individually, finishing with an 8-under 208 score to finish three shots ahead of the field.
OSU senior Tammy Clelland produced a top-10 finish after posting a 1-over 73. The Taupo, New Zealand native finished with at even-par 216 and tied for seventh.
Junior Pernilla Lindberg posted her best round of the event with a 1-under 71 to climb 16 spots and finish at 221, tying her for 21st place.
Junior Karin Kinnerud moved up two spots into a tie for 26th after firing a second consecutive 74 to finish at 223, while junior Amanda Johnson finished tied for 41st place at 226 after carding a 78.
The Cowgirls will close out their fall campaign on Nov. 4 when they begin play at the NGCA Match Play Championship.
