Cowgirl Golf Finishes 10th at Tar Heel Invitational

For the second consecutive day, Oklahoma State's women's golf team moved up the leaderboard at the Tar Heel Invitational at UNC's Finley Golf Course to finish among the top 10.
During Sunday's final round, the Cowgirls posted their best round of the tournament, a 4-over 292, to finish at 899 and alone in 10th place. OSU began the day tied for 12th place before turning in one of the best team scores of the day to move up.
Duke claimed the team title, tallying an 877 total to finish two strokes ahead of Tennessee. The Blue Devils' Amanda Blumenherst fired her third consecutive sub-par round with a 2-under 70 to finish at 209 and three shots clear of the field.
OSU junior Pernilla Lindberg continued her strong play during the fall season with her third consecutive top-10 showing. The Bollnäs, Sweden native posted an even-par 72 to finish at 1-under 215 for the event and place fourth.
A pair of Cowgirls tied for 35th place at 225 as sophomore Sarah Bradley and senior Tammy Clelland both finished with 9-over totals after posting rounds of 72 and 73, respectively.
Junior Karin Kinnerud put together her best round of the tournament with a 75 to finish tied for 66th place at 234, while junior Amanda Johnson tied for 81st place at 238 after carding a 76 during her final round.
The Cowgirls will continue their fall season on Oct. 29 when they begin play at the Las Vegas Founders' Collegiate Showdown.
