Andrea Riley Garners Preseason All-Big 12 Recognition

Oklahoma State sophomore guard Andrea Riley was named an honorable mention All-Big 12 pick this week in a vote by the league's head coaches.
Riley was instrumental in the resurgence of the Cowgirls last season, helping them to the largest turnaround in the nation. OSU finished the season with a 20-11 mark and their first NCAA Tournament berth since 1996.
The 2007 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Riley is coming off a campaign that saw her lead the league's freshmen in scoring, steals and assists. The Dallas, Texas native also finished the season as the squad's leading scorer at 12.8 points per game.
In addition, Riley set school records for consecutive made free throws (40) and assists by a freshman (149).
Riley and the Cowgirls will begin the 2007-08 season with an exhibition contest on Nov. 2 against the Oklahoma Flyers in Stillwater.
