Cowgirl Equestrian Team to Take on Baylor

The show will feature 31 Cowgirl riders competing in four categories, including horsemanship, reining, equitation over fences, and equitation on the flat.
Saturday's format will feature a series of head-to-head match ups. The team accumulating the most head-to-head victories will win the overall match. In the event of a tie, the victor will be determined by total points. In addition, there will be an individual awarded for the most valuable player in each discipline.
The Cowgirls will have nine girls participating in the horsemanship category. Riders include seniors Sam Davidson and LeeAnna McNally, junior Jordan Pickelman, sophomores Ashley Koch, Suzanne Randolph, and Kilee Stewart and freshmen Lauren Olson, Margaux Tucker, and Courtney Whitacre. Randolph, McNally, and Davidson have already claimed victories on the season. Last week against Tennessee-Martin, Randolph earned the MVP in this event.
OSU will have seven girls competing in the reining category, including senior Rachel Currat, junior Jacque Roberts, and sophomores Leah Kuehn, Anna Meyer, Rachell Shobe, and Molly Tipton. Roberts, Currat, Kuehn, and Shobe all earned victories last weekend in the season opener. Shobe also claimed MVP last weekend in this discipline.
The English team will be represented by six riders in the equitation over fences discipline. These riders include seniors Natalie Chappell and Bailey Mahoney, junior Devon Smithburg, sophomores Ally Blais and Jaclyn Osterstock and freshman Hannah Beresford. Chappel, Blais, and Osterstock won their matches last weekend, while Blais won the MVP for this category.
Equitation on the flat will be represented by seniors, Bailey Mahoney, Jen McLaughlin, Megan McVay, and Brittany Myers juniors Charlotte Collingsworth, Sam Collingsworth, and Sarah Summers, sophomore Ally Blais and freshmen Jessie Brothers and Laura Conley. Summers, Mahoney, Woolschlager, and Charlotte Collingsworth earned victories last weekend, with Mahoney capturing the MVP honors in this discipline.
