OSU Career: Hard working senior who is one of the most consistent players on the team. Started her career as a walk-on playing No. 6 singles before quickly earning a scholarship and moving her way up the lineup. She ranks in the top 10 in career singles wins, career winning percentage, doubles wins, dual singles wins and dual double wins since the inception of the Big 12. She is also an outstanding student.
2006 Fall Season: Finished her final fall season with a 3-2 individual record ... went 2-1 at the Aggie Invitational ... lone loss came against No. 65-ranked Isa Gersic ... went 1-1 at the Central Region Championship ... lost to No. 5-seeded Elizaveta Avdeeva of Kansas in the round of 32 ... went a combined 2-3 this fall in doubles, teaming with Zuzanna Osinska and Iryna Tkachenko ... teamed with Osinska at the Aggie Invitational and went 2-2 ... paired with Tkachenko at the regional championship and went one and done.
Junior Season: Excelled in the classroom as she earned ITA Academic All-American honors ... was named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team for the second-straight season ... had 21 wins combining the fall and spring season, the 13th best total by a Cowgirl during the Big 12 era ... compiled a 13-10 record at the No. 2 and 3 positions ... 13 victories were second most on the team ... Moved up to No. 2 singles midway through the season and responded with a 7-3 record there ... recorded a 7-5 mark in Big 12 play ... longest win streak of the season was five ... during that streak she upset Colorado's No. 99-ranked Monica Milewski. 6-1, 6-4 and was named the Big 12 Player of the Week for her performance (4/11) ... picked up the Cowgirl's lone singles victory against Texas A&M by beating Anna Blagodarova, 2-6, 7-5, 10-8 ... defeated Irina Lykina to clinch the Bedlam Bell for the Cowgirls ... ended the season by winning six of her last nine singles matches ... teamed with freshman Zuzanna Osinska to form one of the best tandems at No. 3 doubles in the Big 12 ... the duo went 12-5 at that position and 12-7 overall ... the pair also picked up seven conference victories, the second most in the Big 12 at the position ... Simmons also teamed up with Iryna Tkachenko for two matches and they went 1-1.
2005 Fall Season: Led the Cowgirls with eight victories in the fall season ... recorded a record of 8-2 in singles play ... won all three of her individual matches at the Hurricane Invitational ... won two matches during the qualifying rounds at the ITA Regional Championships to advance to the main draw ... teamed with Jennifer Poskitt to record a 3-4 doubles record ... teamed with Zana Masnic at the ITA Regional Championships and went 0-1.
Sophomore Season: Named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team ... finished third on the team with 13 individual wins during the spring ... had 19 combined wins during the school year, tied for 20th most by a Cowgirl in the Big 12 era ... had a .655 (19-10) winning percentage, the 19th best by a Cowgirl since the Big 12 was formed ... finished with 8-4 record at the No. 3 position ... also went 4-1 at the No. 4 singles position ... posted a six-match winning streak in April ... went 7-4 in Big 12 action ... teamed with Jennifer Poskitt at the No. 3 doubles position.
2004 Fall Season: Posted a combined 6-2 record in singles play ... was the champion of her individual flight at the UNLV Invitational and was runner-up of her flight at the Lady Razorback Invitational ... all singles victories were in straight sets ... defeated Oklahoma's Amanda Pratzel in the finals of their flight at the UNLV Invitational ... teamed with Jennifer Poskitt to post a 3-2 doubles record ... picked up two tandem victories at the Lady Razorback Invitational.
Freshman Season: Primarily competed at the No. 5 singles position where she posted a 5-10 record ... finished 3-1 at the No. 6 position, ending the year with an 8-11 individual record ... teamed with Poskitt at the No. 3 doubles position, posting a 9-11 record ... picked up three victories against Big 12 opponents ... picked up the victory against Nebraska's Katie Garcia in the Cowgirls' first-round tournament loss.
2003 Fall Season: Teamed with sophomore Zana Masnic at the UNLV Invitational and ITA Regional Tournament to post a combined 1-2 doubles record ... advanced to the finals of the consolation bracket at the Lady Razorback Invitational (2-2) ... was victorious in the championship of the fourth flight at the UNLV Invitational against Maria Ruiz-Fabrega of New Mexico, 6-4, 6-4 ... finished the fall tournament season by posting a 1-1 record at the ITA Regional Tournament ... posted a total singles record of 6-3.
Before OSU: Attended Smithtown High School in Smithtown, N.Y. ... rated a top 10-player in the Eastern U.S. section in 16-and 18-year old groups ... two-time regional champion ... four-time All-New York State.
