2006 Fall Season: Newcomer traveled with team to Las Cruces, N.M., to compete at the Aggie Invitational ... finished with a 1-2 record in Las Cruces ... defeated Northern Arizona's Ashley Fenn in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, to pick up her win ... teamed with Jessica Collins in double's play and the pair went 3-1.
Before OSU: Spent one season at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith ... finished her freshman season ranked No. 12 in the NJCAA rankings ... was also an Academic All-American.
High School: Graduated from Greenwood High School where she was part of the first team state championship in school history ... also was a state champion in singles her senior season ... also excelled in basketball where she was all-state and made the all-state tournament team ... graduated with a honors and in the top 15 percent of her class ... was part of the President's or Principal's Honor Roll every year of high school ... was a state champion and all-state selection at Southside High School her junior season ... attended Jenks High School in Tulsa, Okla., her freshman and sophomore years ... was a doubles state champion her freshman season ... was part of the Jenks' state championship in basketball her sophomore season.
