Four of the OSU riders have qualified in Reining at the Youth World Show. Jacque Roberts, a sophomore from McCook, Neb., and member of the 2006 National Championship Team, will be returning to Forth Worth to try for the world championship. Roberts placed fourth last year and will be looking to finish her youth career with a world title.
The three other incoming freshmen are no strangers to the show arena. Leah Kuehn, from Sidney, Neb., Rachel Shobe of Kooskia, Idaho and Bismark, North Dakota native Molly Tipton all bring previous world show experience to this year's competition. Shobe was named Reserve World Champion in 2004, while Tipton placed in the top 10 in 2005.
Two other incoming freshmen, Ashley Koch of Omaha, Neb., and Suzanne Randolph a native of Tulsa, Okla., will be competing in the All-Around events at the world show. Koch placed in the top 10 in two events in the previous world show. In 2004, she placed 4th in the Hunt Seat Equitation and returned in 2005 with a seventh-place finish.
