Jankowski Finishes Fourth at Under-23 Championships

Oklahoma State distance runner David Jankowski made a strong showing for the U.S. national team at the 2006 North American, Central American Caribbean (NACAC) Under 23 Championships this weekend.
Jankowski, a sophomore from Idaho Falls, Idaho, finished fourth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 31:07.17. Fellow U.S. team member John Moore, a sophomore from the University of Portland, finished first in the event with a time of 30:16.03. Jhonatan Castaneda of Mexico finished second behind Moore with a time of 30:37.08 while Canada's Joseph Campanelli rounded out the top three with a time of 31:04.62.
The event, which displays the best under-23 talent from North America and Central America, was held at Santo Domingo's Felix Sanchez Stadium.
