Amy Shipman

Amy Shipman came to OSU in 2004 as the athletic trainer for Cowgirl basketball. Amy joined the program in during the 2004-05 season and supervises the daily care of OSU's equestrian, men's and women's cross country and track and field squads. In addition to her duties in the athletic department, she serves as an adjunct professor for two athletic training classes.

Prior to her arrival in Stillwater, Amy worked for two years as a graduate assistant at North Carolina State while pursuing a master's degree in Adult and Community College Education. While in Raleigh, she worked with the Wolfpack football, track and field and cross country squads.

She received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State where she worked as a student trainer. During her stint at KSU, she worked with the track and field, baseball and football squads.

Amy is a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association and is a member of both the National Athletic Trainer's Association and the Oklahoma Athletic Trainer's Association. In addition, she is licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.

The 26 year old native of El Dorado, Kansas graduated from El Dorado High School.
