Cowgirl Golfers finish 18th at NCAA Championships

Oklahoma State matched its second-round team score with a 299, or 11 over par. However, the Cowgirls were unable to recover from their opening-round 311. OSU scored a 906 over the final three rounds. That equals the 10th-best score of those three rounds.
Freshman Pernilla Lindberg recorded a two-over 74 during Friday's round and finished in 43rd place, while junior Mallorie Underwood carded a three-over 75 and finished 59th. Junior Candie Herrera shot an 80 and finished with a 315, while freshman Amanda Johnson scored a 79 during the final round and finished with a four-day total of 316.
The finish marked OSU's fifth-consecutive top-20 placing at the NCAA Championships and 15th overall top-20 finish since the NCAA Championships began in 1982.
The Cowgirls return all five golfers that competed in the NCAA Championships for next season, and also add two highly touted incoming freshmen to next year's squad.
