Cowboys Set to Compete at Missouri Southern

Oklahoma State's men's track team will travel to Joplin, Mo., on Friday to join athletes from 10 other universities in the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational, hosted by Missouri Southern State University.

Leading the way for the Cowboys will be veteran Sean McCabe as he looks to improve on his already strong senior campaign. McCabe will be competing in the 1,500-meter run along with six other Cowboys.

Juniors Ryan Ripley and Brian Ehlis will be the only other veterans to join McCabe in the 1,500-meter run. Freshmen Ryan Vail, Peter Doroshuk and Chad Johnson will also be competing in the event.

In the 800-meter run, sophomores Brian Wall and Aaron Rivera will both compete for the Pokes while junior Terry Josserand will run in the 400-meter hurdles. Josserand set a new personal record of 52.29 in that event at last weekend's TCU Relays.

The meet, which will be held at Fred G. Hughes Stadium, is set to start at 3 p.m. on Friday.
