April 17, 2006 | Cowgirl Tennis
The Sooners have won two straight against the Cowgirls but O-State leads the all-time series 26-13. A win by the Cowgirls on Tuesday would give head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski his 240th career win. All of his wins have come at Oklahoma State.
Oklahoma (9-13, 3-6) is coming off a big upset against No. 42 Nebraska on Saturday. The Sooners are lead individually by Gaby Baker who has won seven of her last eight matches at No. 1 singles.
Oklahoma State (12-8, 5-4) is coming off a, 4-3, home loss to No. 42 Nebraska on Sunday. The loss snapped the Cowgirl's six match win streak and put OSU in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Big 12 standings.
Individually, the Cowgirls are lead in wins by newcomer Marta Tsivka. The junior is 17-3 this season and has won seven matches in a row. Cowgirl Zana Masnic has also been playing well of late. The Cowgirl's lone senior has won six of her last seven singles matches. Masnic teams with sophomore Yawna Allen at No. 1 doubles. The duo has a 6-2 record there since moving up from No. 2 doubles.
