Hoppock Outduels Missouri, 5-1

Ashleigh Tweed grounded out and Courtney Totte scored the go ahead run in the sixth inning to propel Oklahoma State (17-22, 3-8 Big 12) to a 5-1 win over Missouri (20-18, 4-5 Big 12) at University Field in Columbia Missouri.

The Cowgirls added an insurance run in the seventh inning when Missouri pitcher threw the ball away allowing Lacy Darity to score from second base. Kim Kaye drove in two runs with a double to put OSU up 5-1 going to the bottom of the seventh.

The win snapped a seven game losing streak in Big 12 play since OSU shut out Kansas back on April 1.

Starter Jessica Hoppock (10-16) threw a complete game and allowed just one run on three hits as she outdueled Missouri's Jen Bruck (18-13) to earn just her second win in Big 12 play.

Missouri scored in its first opportunity as OSU starter Jessica Hoppock, including Janessa Roening with the bases loaded to bring home the game's first run.

Ashleigh Tweed evened the game in the second with a two-out double that scored Kim Kaye and tied the game at one.

Oklahoma State will travel to Lubbock, Texas to face Texas Tech in a double header beginning Tuesday at 3 p.m.
