Cowgirl Golfers win the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic

Individually, freshman Pernilla Lindberg won the individual title by one stroke over fellow Cowgirl freshman Karin Kinnerud. Lindberg shot a one-under-par 215 to squeak past Kinnerud, who carded an even-par 216.
Senior Jennifer Karr, who led after the first round, turned in a solid performance and tied for fourth place with Cowgirl junior Mallorie Underwood at 219. Junior Candie Herrera finished tied for 10th individually, recording a seven-over 223.
Oklahoma State's three-round total of 867 is the third-best score in Cowgirl golf history and the best tournament team score for an OSU team since the NCAA Fall Preview in 2004. The Cowgirls' 867 was 22 strokes better than last year's champion.
Texas finished third, 38 strokes behind OSU, while Nebraska and Kansas State rounded out the top-five teams.
Oklahoma State will return to action on April 17 as the Cowgirls compete in the Big 12 Championships in Lincoln, Neb.
