Cowgirl Tennis Set for Home Opener

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team is set to open its 2006 home schedule on Thursday against No. 22 BYU in Stillwater at 1 p.m.

The Cougars (8-4) are coming off a 7-0 win against Portland on Friday. BYU is lead by three-time MWC Player of the Week Olga Boulytcheva. Oklahoma State leads the all-time series 11-7 but the Cougars have won the last two, including a 6-1 win in Provo, Utah, last season.

The Cowgirls (4-4) will be playing their fourth ranked opponent in a row. Oklahoma State is currently on a three match losing streak. The Cowgirls are coming off a 6-1 loss to No. 11 Baylor in Waco, Texas, last Sunday.

Oklahoma State is lead in individual wins by newcomer Marta Tsivka with seven. The Ukraine native has won five matches in a row.
