Kim Kaye hit a triple and two home runs and drove in four runs to lead Oklahoma State (15-14) past Arkansas (16-17), 8-1, in the first game of the Border Wars at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.
The Cowgirls broke the game open in the seventh inning with five runs to put
Jessica Hoppock pitched a complete game for OSU allowing just one run on seven hits to improve to 8-9 on the year.
Ashleigh Tweed padded the lead for the Cowgirls in the fifth inning with a two-out solo homerun to make the score 2-0.
Dayna Huckabee led off the bottom half of the fifth with a homerun for the Lady Backs.
Kim Kaye did not waste any time getting the run back for the Cowgirls as she led off the sixth inning with a blast to left centerfield to put OSU back on top by two runs.
