Cowboys Strong in Outdoor Season Opener

“Sean (McCabe) ran a very good race, especially for someone who typically doesn't run the 800 (meter run),” said Cowboy assistant coach Dave Smith. “He ran hard, got ahead of the pack early and really pushed the pace.”
Also in the 800-meter run, senior Justin Nobles finished sixth with a time of 1:55.14. Sophomore Brian Wall finished 21st. Junior David Foster and sophomore Aaron Rivera finished 27th and 29th, respectively.
Junior Terry Josserand had a solid outing in his first hurdles event of the season as he finished third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.44.
In the 3,000-meter run, sophomore Brian Gosnell finished ninth with a time of 8:55.97. Chad Johnson, a freshman from Kingwood,
Cowboy freshman Peter Doroshuk finished ninth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:03.65 and freshman Montana Keller finished 18th.
“It feels good to start the outdoor season like this,” said McCabe. “Our goal was to have everybody peak towards the end of indoor season going into outdoor (season) and I think we are all ready.”
The Cowboys will be in action next weekend as they compete in the Stanford Invitational.
