Cowgirls Split Double Header with Missouri State

The Cowgirls won the first game of the double header in dramatic fashion. Kaye hit a walkoff home run to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Cowgirls just their third win of the season. It was Kaye's second home run of the year.
OSU fell behind early in the second game and could not sustain a rally and eventually lost 9-3.
OSU took advantage of a
Kaye, the hero from the first game, represented the tying run at the plate, but she stranded the bases loaded when she struck out swinging. Samantha Fleeman ended any thoughts of a rally with a huge home run over the centerfield wall to lead off the sixth inning. Fleeman went 4-for-5 in the ball game.
The Bears added two more runs in the sixth inning, while the Cowgirls plated a run on an RBI groundout by Ashlyn Watson.
