Cowgirl Softball Set to Open Season in Campbell/Cartier Classic

OSU has five games scheduled over the weekend beginning with Cal Poly on Friday at 5 p.m. That game will be immediately followed by a game with eighth-ranked California at 7 p.m.
California reached the Women's College World Series as the No. 2 seed a year ago, but it suffered a pair of one run defeats and was eliminated from the tournament.
The Cowgirls will play two games on Saturday starting with Sacramento State at 11 a.m. and followed by tournament host San Diego State at 5 p.m.
The Cowgirls will conclude the tournament with a game against UC-Santa Barbara on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Also participating in the tournament are second-ranked UCLA and Massachusetts, but neither school is scheduled to face Oklahoma State in the round robin format.
OSU is led by a strong junior class that includes pitcher Jessica Hoppock, outfielder Shanel Scott and catcher Courtney Totte. Scott needs just three stolen bases to become OSU's all-time leader in steals for a career.
