McCabe Finishes Third in Mile to Lead Cowboys

Cowboy senior Sean McCabe gave another great performance in the one-mile run as
Mcabe, who advance to the finals with a fifth-place finish in the one-mile run prelims on Friday, grabbed third-place honors in Saturday's finals with a time of 4:04.57. Stephen Pifer of
“Sean ran a great race today,” said Cowboy assistant coach Dave Smith. “The guy is a fifth-year senior who walked on, but he has always believed in himself and has worked his tail off and I am extremely proud of him.”

“Our coaches definitely know what they are talking about and the plan was for me to stay back and let the other guys in the race do all the work in the first half,” said McCabe. “Half-way through, I started to make moves and I really put myself in great position to finish high and score.”
