Odenyo Named to Academic All-District Team

Junior midfielder Yolanda Odenyo was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VI second team as it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America today.

The first team Academic All-Big 12 selection has a 3.71 grade point average in family relations and child development, and was named Big 12 Co-Player of the Year this week.

Odenyo, a native of Uppsala, Sweden, has scored four goals and recorded seven assists on the season to lead the Cowgirls to a No. 7 national ranking, the highest ranking in school history. She took a game high seven shots in OSU's victory over Oklahoma at the Big 12 Championship.

Oklahoma State will meet third-seeded Texas in tomorrow's semifinal match at 7:30 p.m. at Blossom Stadium in San Antonio, Texas. The match will be broadcast live on 105.5 with Matt Simon providing the commentary.
