Cowgirl Golfers finish 11th at Lady Tar Heel Invitational

Underwood, a senior from Montgomery, Texas, shot a 75 on Saturday and a 71 on Sunday to move up to finish in 37th place despite an 85 during Friday's first round. She and sophomore Pernilla Lindberg tied for 37th place at 232. Sophomore Karin Kinnerud had the top finish by a Cowgirl with a three-day total of 225, good for 16th place.
Vanderbilt won the team title by five strokes over Virginia. Duke finished third and host-school North Carolina finished fourth. Tennessee and Texas A&M tied for fifth place.
OSU's 294 was the fourth-best round of the tournament. Three schools shot a 292 during the final round.
Cowgirl freshman Sarah Bradley, competing in her first collegiate tournament, finished with a 233 and tied for 45th place. Sophomore Amanda Johnson, a Jenks, Okla., native, shot a three-day total of 240.
Oklahoma State will return to action on Oct. 30 when they compete in the Las Vegas Founders' Collegiate Showdown.
