In the spring of 2005, Pomies was named to the National Collegiate Division I 2005 All-Academic Team. He carried a 3.558 grade point average.
2005-2006: During the cross country season, finished with a time of 25:11 at the Big 12 Championships for 35th place, and competed at the NCAA Championships. During the 2006 indoor track season, David finished with a personal best time of 8:04.68 in the 3,000-meter run at the Husky Invitational, and was also part of the 2nd place DMR team at the Big 12 Championships. In the outdoor season, he competed in the Oregon Invitational and finished with a time of 15:05.74 in the 5,000-meter run.
2004-2005: During the cross country season, finished with a time of 32:04 for 10,000m at the Chile Pepper Invitational... In the indoor season, ran 4:13.48 in the mile at the Razorback Invitational, and 10th in the 3000m at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 8:17.58 ... During the outdoor season, ran 14:07.15 in the 5,000m at the Stanford Invitational, and 3:48.98 for the 1,500m at the Big 12 Conference Meet ... Also named to the National Collegiate Division 1 2005 All- Academic Team.
High School: Competed in the World Cross Country Championships ... part of the French Junior National Cross Country Team in 2003 and 2004 ... recorded personal best times of 14:35 in the 5,000m, 3:53 in the 1,500m, and 8:25 in the 3,000m.
