Cowgirls Dominate OSU Fall Invitational

The Cowgirls opened up the day with an 8-0 run-rule victory over Oklahoma Christian. Offensively the Pokes were led by seniors Lauren Kitchens and Shianne Cruce. The duo combined to go 6-for-6, driving in two runs each, highlighted by Cruce's inside-the-park homerun in the third inning.
Senior Jessica Hoppock cruised from the circle, striking out nine batters in five innings and allowing just one hit.
In the second contest the Cowgirls recorded their second consecutive run-rule shutout, handing the Seminole State Lady Trojans a 9-0 loss.
Junior Kim Kaye was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with four RBI's and three runs scored. Her two-run homer in the second inning helped the Cowgirls run away with a convincing win.
In the circle freshmen Anna Whiddon was solid, striking out eight Lady Trojans and only giving up two hits.
OSU rounded out the all day event with a 13-3 blowout victory over
The Cowgirls were hot early, scoring six runs in the first inning. The first six Cowgirl batters recorded hits and scored, capped off by junior college transfer Jenna Harmison's three run homer.
