Oklahoma State's men's track team made a strong showing at the Wildcat Invitational Friday, including placing the top seven finishers in the mile run.
Cowboy junior David Pomies led the Pokes in the mile run. The Lyon, France native finished first with a time of 4:15.80. Senior Sean McCabe and junior Joe Gray rounded out the top three for the Pokes. McCabe finished second with a time of 4:17.55 and Gray's time of 4:19.53 was good for third. Redshirt freshman Ryan Vail and freshman Daniel Watts finished fourth and fifth, respectively, for the Cowboys. Vail finished with a time of 4:19.64 and Watts finished with a time of 4:22.24.
Junior Terry Josserand finished second in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:13.04 and junior Daniel McLemore finished sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.99.
In the 800-meter run, senior Justin Nobles' time of 1:57.88 was good for third place. Cowboy sophomore Aaron Rivera and junior David Foster finished eighth and ninth, respectively.
The meet, which was hosted by Kansas State at the Ward Haylett Track, was the Cowboys' final tuneup before traveling to Seattle, Wash., to compete in the Husky Invitational on Feb 11.
