Benefits
POSSE Benefits are based on the donor's total annual gifts. To qualify for POSSE parking or media guide, donors must be a season ticket holder in that particular sport and maintain the required annual giving level in the form of an unrestricted gift, Next Level gifts or a gift to an individual sport.
Benefit FAQ's
Does my contribution for donor seating qualify me as a POSSE member?
If your contribution is $120 or more in the form of an unrestricted gift or designated to an individual sport, then your contribution automatically qualifies you as a POSSE member.
When will I receive my POSSE renewal statement?
POSSE renewals are planned to be mailed in January for football donor seating and in March for men's basketball donor seating and all other gifts. The deadline to renew football season tickets and football donor seating is May 1. Donations made after June 30, while immediately earning Priority Points, will not be applied toward POSSE annual benefits (such as parking, donor level, etc.) until the following year.
When will I receive my POSSE benefit packet?
POSSE benefit packets are distributed in August, prior to the first home football game. Packet contents vary depending on POSSE donor level.
Do POSSE auction items or gifts-in-kind apply toward donor seating?
These contributions DO NOT apply toward donor seating. However, they do apply toward Priority Points and POSSE benefits with all proceeds from the event supporting varsity athletics directly.
Is my gift to the POSSE tax-deductible?
Yes. IRS guidelines rule all contributions as tax-deductible, varying in percentages.
The OSU Foundation will mail an official tax receipt once the gift is received. It is recommended that individuals consult their tax adviser regarding specific tax issues.
Will my 2005-06 Men's Basketball donor seating payment count toward the
2006 POSSE Year if it was made after June 30th?
Yes  as long as payment-in-full is received by the Sept. 1 deadline. (This onetime extension was made considering the timing of the donation increase.) Next year's donor seating payment(s) will be due in-full by June 30 in order to qualify for parking and benefits.
How does the POSSE determine gameday parking?
Several factors dictate the location of POSSE parking. One factor is the availability of lots for rent from OSU Parking and Transit. The POSSE rents each space from the university on a game-by-game basis. Once the number of spaces is known, the POSSE tabulates the number of donors within each donor level and assigns each parking lot accordingly from the top down, beginning with the lots closest to the stadium and working outward. Parking lots are maximized to use every space and ensure that qualifying donors have ample parking alternatives on gameday. Another factor affecting POSSE parking is the ongoing stadium renovation. The POSSE works with university and construction officials to secure the maximum amount of parking possible on game-day, as construction permits.
