Cowgirls Head to Waco for Matchup Against Baylor

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (6-7, 0-2) will look to snap its two-game losing skid on Wednesday when it travels to Waco, Texas to take on fifth-ranked Baylor (11-1, 1-1) at 7 p.m. The Cowgirls are coming off a 71-62 loss to Iowa State on Saturday, while the Lady Bears are fresh off their first Big 12 win of the season, defeating Texas over the weekend.
Scouting The Lady Bears
With their win on Saturday over the Longhorns, the Lady Bears got back on the winning track after seeing their 30-game winning streak halted by Missouri in the conference opener. Kim Mulkey-Robertson's club does enter the midweek matchup against the Cowgirls carrying a 23-game winning streak at home. The defending national champions are led by All-American Sophia Young, who enters the contest averaging 22.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Sophomore Angela Tisdale checks in as the second-leading scorer at 14.4 points and has tallied a team-high 61 assists on the year. OSU and Baylor have met 22 times on the hardwood with the Lady Bears prevailing in 15 of those contests. Baylor has won the last five meetings with the Cowgirls' last victory coming on Feb. 19, 2003 in Stillwater. OSU last won in Waco on Feb. 6, 1999, posting a 58-56 victory.

OSU will return home to renew the Bedlam Series with in-state rival Oklahoma on Saturday. The contest is slated for a 1 p.m. start and will be televised by Fox Sports Net.

An OSU win would snap a nine-game skid against Big 12 schools ... Wednesday's contest will be just the second for OSU against a defending national champion with the first coming against Louisiana Tech in 1989 during the second round of the NCAA Tournament, a 103-78 Lady Techster win ...
