Cowgirls defeat Cowley County, 14-7

Neither team scored until the seventh inning when newcomer Krystle Sanchez hit an RBI-double and later scored when newcomer Kim Kaye hit an RBI-double.
The Cowgirls tacked on two more runs in the eighth when Courtney Totte hit a two-run single to increase the lead to 4-0.
After newcomer pitcher Chelsey Barclay kept the Lady Tigers hitless for six innings, reliever Jessica Hoppock gave up a three-run homer and a two-run homer in the top of the ninth, which gave the Lady Tigers their only lead of the game at 5-4.
The Cowgirls regained the lead for the final time in the bottom of the 10th, when they batted around, scoring seven runs.
Shianne Cruce led off with a double to start the rally, and the junior closed out the inning's scoring by hitting an RBI-single. OSU then padded the lead in the final two innings.
Next up for the Cowgirls is the Oklahoma Shootout in Oklahoma City on Saturday. The team will return to Cowgirl Stadium Tuesday, when they host Northern Oklahoma at 4 p.m.
