Cowboys Look Strong in Final Tune-up

On Saturday, five Cowboy runners competed in the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational in Joplin, Mo. The event was hosted by Missouri Southern State University.
In that meet, freshman Brian Wall led three Cowboys to top-10 finishes in the 800-meter run. His time of 1:54.14 earned him third place in the race. Junior Justin Nobles finished fourth with a time of 1:55.07, and sophomore David Foster's time of 1:58.69 earned him a ninth-place finish. Freshman Aaron Rivera also competed in the event, finishing 13th.
Cowboy sophomore Terry Josserand made a strong showing in the 400-meter hurdles. Josserand finished third with a time of 53.38 in the event.
On Sunday, Cowboy sophomore Brian Ehlis competed in Stanford's Cardinal Invitational at Cobb Track & Angell Field in Stanford, Ca. Ehlis finished 13th in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:11.35.
The strong performances wrap up a busy week for the Cowboys that also featured sophomore Joe Gray's third-place finish in the steeplechase at the Penn Relays on Thursday.
