The sophomore catcher is a marketing major with a 3.787 GPA. Totte started all 55 of the Cowgirls games behind the plate and hit .268 on the season.
A Tucson, Ariz., native Nicholson made the all-district squad for the first time in her career with a 3.586 GPA while majoring in Athletic Training. A two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree, Nicholson is second on the team with a .370 average. The senior shortstop hit 12 home runs this season to tie the single season record and will be looking to set a new mark later this week in regional action.
The academic all-district team members were nominated by their schools' student services and media relations offices and voted on by the media relations directors in the respective districts. To be nominated for CoSIDA academic honors, student-athletes must be of sophomore standing, maintain at least a 3.20 grade point average and be a starter or active reserve on her team.
Oklahoma State opens play in the Tucson Regional at 4 p.m. (MST) on Friday against Ivy League Champion Princeton.
