Cowboy Track Splits For Weekend

Cowboy senior J.R. Lake, along with junior Luke Sigle, will lead a young group of runners that features eight underclassmen. Sophomores Joe Gray, Brian Ehlis, Terry Josserand, David Foster, and freshmen Brian Gosnell, Ryan Rivera, Brian Wall and Chris Lewis will all be competing in the meet which starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Four Cowboy runners, however, will not be joining the team in Kansas. Junior Sean McCabe will lead sophomore David Pomies and freshmen Alejandro Ruiz and Matthew Barnes-Smith in the 4x1-mile relay at the 2005 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. That event will be hosted by the University of Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The Cowboy runners will run at 9:45 p.m. on Friday.
Barnes-Smith will be competing for the first time since he injured his foot at a meet in Fayetteville, Ark., in February.
