April 16, 2005 | Cowgirl Softball
The offense for both teams came in the sixth, but the Cowgirls did not do enough their half of the inning for the win. Shanel Scott scored OSU's lone run of the game, coming home on a sacrifice fly from Courtney Totte. After leading off with a single, Scott stole second and moved to third on a base hit from Stephanie Nicholson.
The inning started with Cary Akins earning a free pass to first. Randi Cook then entered the game and Jessica Quade reached on an error by the Cowgirls. A groundout moved both runners into scoring position and
Marjorie Johnson started the contest and allowed one run off two hits, eight strikeouts and three walks. Cook tossed one inning in relief, surrendering one unearned run while giving up one hit and striking out one Cyclone.
