Oklahoma State University Athletics
Gift Designation
April 12, 2005 | General
Your donation to the POSSE can be designated to a variety of areas of need within the program. Gifts are classified as either unrestricted or restricted and are designated to one of the following areas:
UNRESTRICTED FUNDS
"The Next Level" Campaign  Football Stadium Renovation
(3 Priority Points per $100)
Deemed the top priority for Athletics and one of the top priorities on campus, funding for the $86 million upgrade to Boone Pickens stadium is vital.
Other Facilities
(1 Priority Point per $100)
One of the greatest challenges in collegiate athletics today is the need to build and maintain quality facilities. Donations to facility projects help OSU keep pace with peer institutions while giving student-athletes, coaches and fans enhanced venues.
Varsity Athletics
(3 Priority Point per $100)
The varsity athletic fund supports OSU student-athletes and touches every sport on campus. Gifts to varsity athletics supplement where the money is needed most.
Iba-Fenimore Society
(1 Priority Point per $100)
Named in honor of OSU sports legends Henry Iba and Bob Fenimore, the Iba-Fenimore Society consists of donors who pledge $1000 per year above and beyond their regular contributions. Created in 1994, the society's initial goal was to provide venture capital for the development of the new Athletics Center. The group is now focused on improving other athletic facilities and promoting the overall success of OSU's athletic program.
Athletic Scholarships
(1 Priority Point per $100)
The general athletic scholarship fund supports the ever-rising cost of education for OSU's 400-plus studentathletes. The average cost for one year of tuition, books, room and board for an OSU student in 2003-2004 was $9,160 (in-state) and $13,880 (non-resident).
Donor Seating
(1 Priority Point per $100)
Specific sections in Boone Pickens Stadium, Gallagher-Iba Arena and Allie P. Reynolds Stadium require an annual donation to qualify for a season ticket in that section. (Please contact the OSU Ticket Office for availability.)
RESTRICTED FUNDS
Individual (Specific) Sports
(1 Priority Point per $100)
All sports have needs which their annual budgets do not cover. Therefore, coaches are always in need of donations to help with special projects for their sport. You may designate a gift to your favorite sport.
Endowments
(1 Priority Point per $100)
Because OSU must fund every student-athlete's tuition, room and board and books, endowed scholarships are a vital part of OSU's future. Donors may choose to fully or partially endow a scholarship for a position in a particular sport (for example, The Bob & Mary Smith Quarterback Scholarship). Because endowments are funded by the revenue generated from the principal amount (the principal is never reduced), donors funding an endowed scholarship create a lasting legacy for OSU Athletics. For more information, please contact the OSU POSSE office.
Auction Items
(1 Priority Point per $100)
Each year, the POSSE hosts a benefit auction to support OSU Athletics. Priority Points are granted for auction items purchased or donated, as well as tickets to the event.
O-CLUB
The O-Club's mission is to provide an opportunity for fellowship and assembly for those who participated in varsity athletics at OSU. The O-Club is open to all varsity letter-winners or any person who participated in a varsity sport as a studentathlete, trainer or manager for two or more years.
Some of the benefits include discounted season tickets to OSU sports (excluding men's basketball) and discounted single-game football tickets (if available on gameday). Yearly membership begins at just $35.00 with benefits such as discounted season tickets to OSU sports (excluding men's basketball) and the opportunity to attend pre-game men's in the O-club room during football season. For more information about the OSU O-Club, call Matt Grantham at 405-744-5938 or e-mail
