The OSU Benefit Dinner and Auction is hosted by the OSU POSSE to raise money for the student-athlete scholarship fund. The event in late spring/early summer and provides a fun-filled evening with OSU coaches and student-athletes. Bidders have opportunities to purchase hundreds of items, including great trips with the OSU teams, condos for vacations in the mountains or the beach, golf outings, plus autographed jerseys and balls from our current coaches and teams as well as our OSU athletes in the pros. All items purchased by winning bidders are included in the donors' annual giving.
Every spring the POSSE hits the road for the Cowboy Caravans around the state. Coach Mike Gundy or members of his coaching staff will join us as we barnstorm various towns across Oklahoma and around the region, promoting the upcoming football season and sharing other Athletic Department news with local fans.
The Recruiting Round-Up has become one of our most popular events. Held in February on the day after National Signing Day for football recruits, the OSU POSSE hosts an evening with the football coaches and OSU fans. We serve up brats, beverages and lots of fun as fans hear first-hand info and see video highlights of the new football recruiting class. The coaches also share some hilarious tales from the recruiting trail.
The POSSE and the OSU Alumni Association will co-host Cowboy Corrals at several away games during football season. The Corrals are a special gathering place for Cowboy fans to come and eat and enjoy a pep rally to get everyone pumped up for the big game.
Once during each season for most Cowboy and Cowgirl sports, the POSSE will sponsor a special POSSE Recognition Day to say "Thank You" to our loyal supporters. There will be special prizes, giveaways and recognition for POSSE members in attendance.
