Cowgirls Fall Against Virginia Commonwealth, 4-0

The Cowgirls (5-12, 2-5) started the match off by being swept in the three doubles matches. At No.1, junior Zana Masnic and freshman Iryna Tkachenko put up a good battle before falling to the nation's 16th-ranked tandem, 8-5.
VCU (13-6, 2-1) continued its successful play in singles by picking up victories in the three completed matches.
Masnic was defeated by Olga Borisova at the No. 2 position, 6-2, 6-2. Junior Sandra Blajer fell at the No. 5 spot, 6-2, 6-0. VCU ended the match early when No. 74 Marianna Yuferova downed Tkachenko at the top singles position, 6-4, 6-2.
“Hopefully we will play better tomorrow,” Lubicz-Majewski said. “We are an outdoor team and are looking forward to playing at our home courts after being away for so long.”
OSU returns to action tomorrow with a 10 a.m. contest against
