Cowgirls Slide Past Wichita State

Wichita State scored two in the third but the Cowgirls plated one in the fourth and two in the sixth to earn their sixth one-run win of the year.
Stephanie Nicholson got the comeback started for the Cowgirls with a leadoff double in the fourth. Courtney Totte followed with a RBI double to put the Cowgirls within one.
Tara Jeffery scored the equalizing run in the sixth, coming home on a single from Ashleigh Tweed. The bases were ioaded after two walks and a base hit when Lacy Darity was hit by a pitch to push Lauren Kitchens home for the winning run.
Randi Cook earned her fourth start of the year against the Shockers, allowing two runs off six hits, one walk and two strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Jessica Hoppock shut down Wichita State for the final 2.2 innings, holding the Shockers hitless and striking out one.
Oklahoma State concludes play in Tulsa with an 11:30 a.m. contest against Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday
