Cowboy Track Splits for Outdoor Opener

Junior Sean McCabe will lead four other Cowboy runners at the Stanford Invitational. McCabe, along with Cowboy freshman Alejandro Ruiz will be competing in the 1500-meter run on Friday. On Saturday, sophomore Joseph Gray will compete in the steeple chase while sophomores Brian Ehlis and David Pomies will compete in the 5k run. The two-day event will be held at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Cowboy runners will be competing at the Tulsa Duels. The Pokes will be joined by Arkansas-Little Rock, Kansas, Missouri, Oral Roberts, Southwest Missouri State, and Tulsa. The event, which will be held at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, is set to start at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
“We have a good chance to do some good things this weekend,” Cowboy head coach Dick Weis said, “I think all of our guys have a chance to perform very well.”
