OSU Equestrian Takes First and Second Place on the Weekend

Oklahoma State's equestrian team will advance to the Zone Championships after this weekend's competition in College
Station.
The Cowgirls placed first on Saturday with 29 points, while West Texas A&M placed second with 27 and Texas A&M earned a third-place finish with 21 points.
On Sunday, the Cowgirls came short of first-place with 29 points, while West Texas A&M won with 33 points. Texas A&M placed third with 27 points.
First-place individual finishes for the Cowgirls were Kayla Elmenhorst, Mandy McNally, Lindsey Childress, Emily Perry, Amanda Bohr and Amanda Yancy. Elmenhorst was also the High Point Rider of the day on Saturday.
After the final competition of the regular season, the Cowgirls stay put in the region at second place with 227 points, while Texas A&M continues to be the first place team with 234 points.
The Cowgirls will send 28 riders to compete in 36 classes in the Regional Championships, April 2, in Canyon, Texas.
Regional qualifiers for OSU are: Amber Blythe, Kristen Bottone, Laura Brawdy, Lacey Boyer, Mary Beth Ede, Marie Hammond, Paige Hortman, Cory Johnson, Karrie Kehr, Erin McDonald, Lindsay Parker, April Peck, Lindsey Smith, Brittany Snider, Nicole Stec, Michelle Woolschlager, Lindsey Welsh, Amanday Yancy, Bailey Mahoney, Mandy McNally, Laryn Burns, Allison Hufnagel-Wolff, Brandi Thomas, Rachel Currat, Lindsey Childress, Kayla

The Cowgirls will travel to the Zone championships, April 9, in Fort Collins, Colo., where they will have to beat Colorado State to advance to the National Championships.
