Cowgirl golfers tied for fifth at Regional Challenge

Cowgirl senior Annie Thurman is tie for fourth place individually, carding a one-over-par 72 today for a two-day total of 146. Duke's Brittany Lang is the individual leader at 140, five strokes ahead of a pair of competitors. OSU junior Karin Sjödin is tied for eighth place with a 148, while Cowgirl sophomore Mallorie Underwood is tied for 12th place with a 149.
UCLA and Duke are tied for second, one stroke behind Pepperdine's 592. Florida is in fourth, seven strokes behind the Wave and two strokes in front of Oklahoma State at 599. The Cowgirls shot 304 as a team.
OSU sophomore Candie Herrera is tied for 65th place while junior Kyla Welsh is tied for 68th. The tournament will conclude on Wednesday with a final round of 18 holes.
