Cowgirls Win Show

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State's Equestrian team won the Hunt Seat competition today at the Animal Science Arena.
The Cowgirls earned high point team honors with 40 points while Texas A&M was awarded reserve high point honors with 36.
In the Open Fences competition, Cowgirl Brittany Snider earned a blue ribbon in her respective class while Lindsay Parker was awarded with second place.
OSU rider Mary Beth Ede rode her way to a first place finish in her Novice Fences class while team captain Marie Baird notched a second place ribbon in her class.
Cowgirl freshman Kristen Bottone showed an impressive performance in the Open Flat while winning first place while Bailey Mahoney also won first place in her section.
In the Novice Flat, Michelle Woolschlager earned first place and Tamara Prevost won second place in her section.
Laryn Burns and Amanda Yancey took control of the Walk-Trot section as Burns placed first and Yancey followed with second. Also, two more Cowgirls controlled the Intermediate Flat competition as Marie Baird won first place and Amber Blythe won second place.
Both sections of Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter were lead by OSU riders as well. Erin McDonald and Jennifer Fink both placed first in their respective classes.
Finishing off the day, Kerrie Kehr won her section of the Beginner Walk-Trot Canter, helping OSU to high point honors.
The Cowgirls are back in action tomorrow, February 6, at the Animal Science arena. The show will begin at 8:00 a.m.
