STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State's equestrian team came out on top for the second day in a row at the Hunt Seat meet today at the Animal Science Arena, scoring 45 points as Texas A&M placed second with 43.
OSU was successful once again as many riders placed first in their classes. The open fences sections were controlled mostly by Cowgirl riders as Sarah Wilkinson and Lindsay Parker placed first in their respective classes.
Natalie Chappell notched a first-place standing in her novice fences section while Michelle Woolschlager placed second in her section.
OSU freshman Kristen Bottone continued her first place streak as she won her open flat section. Also in the open flat, Bailey Mahoney placed first while Lindsay Parker notched second-place in her section.
In the novice flat, Woolschlager won her section and Brittany Myers placed second.
For the second day in a row, Cowgirls Laryn Burns and Amanda Yancey took first and second-place in their walk-trot section while Emily Perry won her respective class, also.
The intermediate flat sections were dominated by Cowgirl riders as Amber Blythe and Cory Johnson placed first in their classes.
OSU rider Angela Stroope placed second in the advanced walk-trot-canter section and Kerrie Kehr placed second in the beginning walk-trot-canter section.
Parker tied Stephanie Glass of Texas A&M for high point rider honors while Woolschlager earned the reserve high point rider honor.
The Cowgirls are back in action February 19 when the team travels to Canyon, Texas for a Hunt Seat competition.
