Cowgirl Softball Shut Out By No. 12 Washington

Oklahoma State's softball team fell to 12^th-ranked Washington, 1-0, on Sunday at the Palm Springs Classic. The Cowgirls finished the weekend 3-2 including an impressive win against third-ranked UCLA on Saturday.

Washington's Dominique Lastrapes scored the lone run of the game on a lead off home run in the fifth inning.

OSU's offense was quiet against UW and did not advance a runner past second base. Megan Carey had the Cowgirls only extra base hit of the game, a double in the fourth inning.

Jessica Hoppock took the loss in the circle, striking out 10, walking two and allowing one run off four hits.

Oklahoma State (11-6) returns to action on Friday, facing North Texas and Tulsa in the Tulsa Invitational.
